"No!" a young boy was on his knees, before him stood two larger beings, "Please! I can still work! Please! I promise I can!" he cried, tears pooled from his dark brown eyes. One of the larger men left, giving a vague gesture with his hand. The other one grabbed the boy by his ginger-blonde hair and draged him torwards a door. "No!!"
Oliver druchbruch jumped in his seat. 'Another nightmare' he thought. A young waitress made her way over to him, "Would you like me to get you some more coffee sir?" Oliver nodded his head in reply and turned his head back at the window, thinking.

I silently swam through the sewers underneath the imperial city of Temporia. Being an Aifon, I can breathe underwater. Once I was out, I climbed a nearby ladder into the city proper, and saw my prize, the wealthy Dr. Oliver Drunchbruch. I slipped into the diner with my hood up to cover my blue hair, and walked over to him.
"Doctor. If you want to live, you'd best stay silent and come with me."

Oliver gasped and looked behind him to see a man with a hood over his head. "What? What do you want with me?" he asked in an irratated voice narrowing his eyes at the man.

Hm... So we have to do this the hard way. "Very well. The hard way it is then." I pulled out my sword and held it to his neck. I then throw open a Corridor of Darkness and throw him in, jumping in after him.

Oliver screamed as he felt himself fall through something. He looked around at the unfamiliar suroundings, becoming more and more frightened. He hugged his knees to his chest and sat there, waiting for the hooded man.

Once I arrived back at the hideout, I closed the Corridor of Darkness and went to check on my prize.
"You just caused me a lot of trouble, you know that?" I said coldly to the poor man, backhanding him soon after. "You colud have just come with me, but no, you had to make me make a scene. You're lucky that your parents are rich. I'll get a handsome sum from them for you."

Oliver whimpered as he was backhanded, backing away from the man. He then stood up and glared at him, "Who told you that my family is rich?! My dad died in a war and my mom needs the money he left her!" he snapped, pausing for a second before adding, "and don't you ever touch me again!"

"I don't care, as long as I get my gold. And, if they don't pay, you'll make a perfect slave." I whisper the last part in his ear.

"N-No! I refuse to do anything for you!" Oliver yelled, stomping his foot on the ground and looking like a child throwing a fit, "and stay away from my mother! You even lay a fingre on her and I'll poison you!"

I laugh coldly. "You'll poison me? That's rich. Yeah, sure. And I'm the Emperor. You'll do what I want you to, just you wait."

"No NO NO and NOO!!" Oliver yelled, fell back on the floor and curled up again, burying his face between his knees. 'This is not happening' he thought 'This can't be happening.'

I felt something in my heart at the sight of the boy crying there, but I ignored it. I grabbed him by the scruff of his neck and carried him into the bedroom, and chained one of his wrists to the bedpost, to keep him here.
"I'm going to get you some food, stay here or else."

Oliver didn't leave the bed. Infact, he didn't do anything. He just layed there, no expression, no noise, no movement. It was as if he had turned himself off.

I reentered the room, carrying a plate of food. I saw the boy lying on the bed, doing absolutely nothing.

Oliver didn't react at all. Not to the man, or the food. He just simply lay there.
